CWC Women Fall Outing
Our CWC Women will be going to the City of Bostwick for their annual Cotton Gin Festival on Saturday, October 26th. Bostwick’s Cotton Gin is one of the few operational cotton gins in Georgia and Saturday, during the festival, is the ONLY time of year it’s open for public tours. If you have never seen a working cotton gin, it is really something to see. The day is filled with cotton-ginning, a parade of 100 or more tractors and antique cars, arts and craft vendors, fun kids’ area, and Southern treats to feast on. We will leave the church that 8:30 am and travel
to Bostwick, which it a very small old southern town that’s full of history. Dress comfortably and be prepared for anything on this fun day trip. It is quite possible that you might find yourself plundering through antique shops, cotton fields, abandoned plantation homes, and/or anything
else we come across that looks interesting.
Come ready to laugh, have fun and see things you might not have ever seen before, as we spend the day doing things just a little bit out of the ordinary. Contact Angie Coker (Angie.Coker@nghs.com) for any questions.
